‘COP-out’ is a collaborative, multimedia project in affiliation with the Global Youth Climate Justice Movement. Created around COP26, which took place in Glasgow, Scotland in 2021, the project explores young people’s engagement with the Conference of the Parties and more broader climate action from world leaders. As well as the broad range of work being done outside of the confines of the worlds ‘most important’ climate event. Have the young people taken matters into their own hands? Will change ever come from COP(s)? Raising crucial questions about the legitimacy of these spaces and the role of the global climate justice and youth movements, within them, COP-out is relevant from COP26, to COP27 and beyond.
